About Catharine
Hello Students!
My name is Catharine but you can just call me Kat. I LOVE learning and teaching. I believe as a tutor you learn as much through your students, as you teach them. I feel that sometimes you need a guide but that it was in you all along.
I have been studying art since I was a child, my father introduced me through his architecture. He is a New Classical architect who also inspired my love of art history. From paintings to sculpture, to architecture, I love it all. I have taken many an Art History course along with survey classes that delve deeper into the subject. I love discussing and describing art it runs through me like water down a river.
Enough about art history! Let us jump into graphic design. I have studied graphic design for the past 4 years but the elements of design forever. I am proficient in most of Adobe Suite, from photoshop and illustrator to Indesign and Dimensions. I'm always willing to explore the other wonderful programs they offer and catch on quick. Whether you need help in the adobe suite or help with projects and critiques, I'm your girl!
I'm passionate about teaching others and helping students to be successful however I can. So let us do this! Time to rock your learning.
I am proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I'm willing to assist with any other programs you may need to use. I can offer design help and critiques, as well as project preparation. I can help in the study of art history, helping read and proofread papers as well as study for tests. I also am able to assist with time management and organization.
Please reach out if you want some serious but also some seriously fun tutoring. I want to help you create longterm memory on the subjects you study and be successful in everything you do in school and life!

I like to start with some icebreakers, get to know the student and their needs. Then I like to jump into the subject and what they are hoping to accomplish.
College-level design students.
Look for a tutor that fits your learning style. Find someone passionate about what they teach and are able to teach well.
