Val’s lessons about theory and production are simply amazing. Someone can have all the knowledge in the world but it doesn’t mean absolutely anything as a teacher if you don’t have a good way of teaching things and explaining them for ppl to understand. Val does just that. He has created his own methods to use brilliant metaphors to make someone understand things way faster and easier. Makes the whole process a lot more fun and productive!!

I started taking Bass lessons from Val about a month ago. I was in such a rut and writers block that I didn’t know what to do with my playing anymore. I don’t have a band nowadays and don’t have the easy task of following any rhythm lines like I did before. I couldn’t believe that I talked myself into doing lessons... My technique is pretty good and I just needed direction musically. Val immediately showed me the “7 Kart Train System” when it comes to learning the 7 Diatonic Modes/ Scales with the Major scale as the parent/ blue print. Since I play a 4 string bass, the box shapes and scales are much shorter and easier to learn. I am now able to use undertones to hear individual modes’ tonalities and what kind of emotion they portray. My writing has been freed up to where I will never again follow the bottom end section of the band (rhythm guitar, bass drum) & I can now write much more intricate bass lines and ideas. Thank you so much Val, for opening up my mind to a whole new level of music! With this knowledge of theory I was able to branch out and learn other “7 Scale Kart Systems” like Harmonic and Melodic Minor & even Dimished! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

If you want to learn your scales, arpeggios, music theory and how to shred in general, this is hands down one of the best lead guitarists in the state of Georgia. The guy can literally do and play anything. I have never been happier or more content in my life as far as guitar playing goes on the subject of taking lessons from Val. Highly recommended! 👌🏼👌🏼

The production classes from Val have been a blessing! I didn’t know much about making music sound good until he started guiding me! It’s been incredible! Just learning the different arts of mixing & mastering have taken my tracks to a whole new level! Just simple tricks like side-chaining my drums (volume ducking) have breathed new life into my mixes! Would recommend him to anyone looking to improve Production! On top of that he’s a very intelligent musician being a pro-guitarist! Val was the perfect fit for me. I knew nothing about audio production or how to use FL Studio when I first started. Not only did Val give me a free copy of FL Studio 20.5 since I was a paying customer, he also shows me how to use this program hands on over the internet using a program called team viewer so it lets me take control of his computer so I can learn visually and hands on. Best decision I ever made!

I have been receiving online guitar lessons from Val, and have really learned a lot in a short amount of time. Val is a great teacher, in that he is not just knowledgeable and a rock awesome talented guitarist, but he really takes time to meet you where you are at. If you get stuck on something, he stops and shows you something else to help get you break it down and really understand it. Or if you’re having trouble with a skill he gives you exercises that help you develop the skill better. Val is an excellent guitar teacher and would highly recommend him first to any of my friends or anyone needing lessons.

Val’s lesson have been great! I started with zero knowledge and not having played any musical instruments in my life. His technical skills are amazing, yet he is able to explain things in a way a beginner can understand. He’s gotten me well on my way and the progress is consistent.

I was going stir crazy being stuck inside all day, but it wasn't so bad thanks to all the awesome material I had to work through! I feel like I really got a grasp on the basics of music theory in a way that I haven't really been able to manage on my own.
