About Robert Gary
Small studio dedicated to education and recording. Classes taught by a Florida Atlantic University Professor with 20 plus years of experience teaching all facets of music performance, production, and recording. Our philosophy is that everything we do is in service to the student. There is no other good reason to be a teacher. Music styles that are taught are widely varied and the instructor has first hand knowledge of these styles having played them professionally for many years.
Awards and qualifications include:
Assistant engineer on the Grammy Nominated Album Pa Que Mas
AES member
Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music in Jazz studies from the University of Miami
Currently teaching Bass studies and Audio Recording at Florida Atlantic University as well as being the Director of Commercial Music Ensembles at this school
2009 International Blues Challenge winning Bassist with JP Soars and The Red Hots

First I need to find where the student is strong and and where they are weak. Then we use specific exercises to correct any problems. Of course, we also learn to play music that the student wants to play in order to keep them interested.
