About Mike
Bass and Guitar lessons taught by Mike Noordzy. Mike has been perfiorming and teaching in the central NJ area for over 20 years. He specializes in jazz upright bass.
Mike has both a B.A and an M.M in music performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, and has studied privately with some of the top musicians in NJ/NY.
He has performed all over the world as a member of Lesley Gore's touring band 2007-2009 and at many of the top concert venues in the area such as: the State Theater, the Blue Note, Birdland, the Stone, Chris's Jazz club, the Stone Pony, the Wonder Bar, the Saint, the Brighton Bar, House of Independents, Sunny's, City Winery, etc.
In addition to teaching privatley he is an adjunct professor at Rutgers University and Middlesex Community College.

Firstly, I'll get to know the student, discuss their interests and musical goals and then devise a path to success. Then a practice plan is set in place and adjusts as the student progresses according to their needs.
