About Ryan
I am an actively working musician who graduated from Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Guitar Performance and Music Business. I teach both guitar and bass, and can teach students of all different experience levels. I cater my teaching curriculum to each individual student based on their interests. So whether you want to learn a couple of your favorite songs, write some songs of your own, or dive deep into music theory and advanced technique, I’ve got you covered. I have a good amount of teaching experience from School of Rock and Merry Melody Music Academy, in addition to my own lessons.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from Berklee College of Music as well as years of experience playing live shows, recording, writing songs, touring, etc.

I think it's important to set expectations. I will expect my students to practice every week, so the amount of work I give them will have to depend on both their interest and schedule. I try to gauge what the student is interested and what their experience level is, then go from there.
I have worked with students of a variety of different ages and experience levels.
My band, The Cotones, recently released a full length album where one of the songs was recorded by Steve Albini (acclaimed producer of Nirvana's In Utero) and the last couple of songs featured an entire orchestra.

From the start, Ryan was locked into what I wanted to get out of the lessons. He didn’t just slap a boilerplate approach to my lessons. Instead, he asked me questions and understood what I was hoping to accomplish and then created a plan just for me. Tremendous teacher. 5 stars!
Ryan is a wonderful teacher who really cares about his students. He always makes sure I'm fully understanding concepts and will listen to what I need in order to stay engaged. I appreciate that he pushes me to reach my goals in a way that challenges me, but doesn't overwhelm me. Highly recommend!!
