About Drew
I am a passionate music teacher with 10 years of experience. My goal is to help any student achieve their goals in music and have fun doing it! I can teach any level from beginner to professional, and provide real world insight into live performance, professional recording, how to get hired, and how to have fun along the way!
Over the past 10 years I have played in hundreds of venues, toured with bands, taught K-8 music in the classroom, and taught private lessons for all levels.
I have Bachelors degree in Music Education, with certification and will cater to any students learning style!

I studied Music Eduation in College and taught middle school/ high school band first, then taught K-8 music, as well as maintaining private lessons outside of the classroom.

When starting with a new student, I will always ask the student what their personal goal is to accomplish with the instrument they are playing. I will then assess what proficiences and deficiences the student(s) have with the instrument. Once that is determined, I will develop a curriculum dedicated to that student with short and long term goals to develop the playing style they wish to possess!
I have with worked with all ages (5-60 years old) and have taught new musicians to professional touring musicians.
When looking for a teacher, find someone that has a easy personality, exhibits patience, will work with the students learning style and is organized to help the student excel!
I am currently on tour and playing for a week in Cedar Point Ohio with their "Bands in Residence" program. Its been absolutely amazing so far!

How long will it realistically take to learn and achieve the skills I would like to be able to play on the instrument?
Can you teach me in me in multiple different ways so I can have a better understanding of what to do?
Can you teach music theory about the songs or concepts that we are learning?
