About Nick
I'm a full time musician, session player, and songwriter living in the Detroit area. I play lead guitar for a touring funk, rock and soul band The Infatuations ((concealed information) who received 5 Detroit Music awards in 2014, and 2 in 2015. I also own my own music licensing and custom composition company JIVA Music, LLC. We have songs featured on various TV shows and films including Fox Sports, Dance Moms, Mob Wives on VH1, Made on MTV, 16 and pregnant and many others. I also do session work and play on various artists albums, so I have years of songwriting and studio recording experience as well that I can share with my students.

I have been taking lessons with Nick for several years. I started out with some experience and a good deal of bad habits. We started off relearning the basics and improving technique. We have covered a great deal of music theory scales, modes, and song structure. He is able to teach a full range of students from very beginner to advanced players of all ages. There is always something new to learn. Lessons are both fun and challenging.
