About Richard
Besides my understanding approach to teaching, I provide small groups with hands-on demonstrations of families of instruments. This has proven to be entertaining, informative, popular, and therapeutic.
Preschool, scouts, elementary, supplementing school band, vacation Bible school, adults, seniors, you name the group of no more than 12 and the musical equipment you find most interesting.

About the lesson

We get to know each other, usually the first lesson is free. I find that progress can happen when the goals and expectations are shared right away; my aim is to spread musicianship even if all you do is hum to yourself. Your ability to use theory will grow, so I give theory papers, one per week. Ear training makes your ability snowball as well. All of this with an entertaining patient style.
