About Jake
My goal is to open ears and hearts to the ubiquity of music that can inspire not only the forging of great practice habits toward technical mastery, but also the confidence and freedom to take risks and make unique artistic choices. I integrate rhythmic and harmonic approaches towards deep and intuitive experiences of music performance, from wind ensebles, global percussion orchestras, and club bands. I use movement, vocalizations, and breathing and visualization exercises when they're helpful, and work to keep things positive and encouraging.
