About Dakota
I'm a working musician with a passion to pass on the knowledge I've gathered over years of writing, recording, and live performance!
I began my musical journey around age 10 when I got my first guitar. Falling in love immediately, I began to amass a collection of pretty much any instrument I could get my hands on.
Over the past 10 years, I've performed in clubs, bars, and restaurants. around Kansas City with a multitude of bands. I've provided backup vocals, keys, bass, and of course my greatest passion, guitar. Aside from performance, I worked at a local guitar shop for nearly 3 years, gaining hands-on experience with instrument maintenance as well as one on one time and advice from guitar teachers with 40+ years of experience!
For anyone beginner-intermediate looking to learn guitar (electric, or acoustic), ukelele, or bass, I can provide not only the knowledge and technique, but the insight into pursuing live performance and show opportunities that only someone who has done it can give!
I have 10+ years of experience playing the guitar, bass, and ukelele professionally.
I received music theory and composition training in college.
