I've taken 7 lessons with Manny so far and I am learning a ton. He was able to listen to what I was interested in learning and structure my lessons around my interests while at the same time moving me forward in a well rounded way, pushing me to do the things that I am reluctant to do but that he knows in the long run will benefit my overall playing. I recommend lessons with Manny if you want to up your guitar playing with the theory that supports better playing.

Manny is a great teacher. He has found the perfect balance of pushing students toward their potential but keeping it fun and relaxed. High expectations in a positive environment! As an adult student I appreciated that he gave me choices about how I wanted to proceed and what worked with my busy life and family schedule. I’ve referred several students to him because I think he is the best!!

Manny is so personable that he really made this beginner feel comfortable. He had me playing Beethoven on day one and I was Jamming with him by the end of the first month! I look forward to becoming a bad ass ukulele player and I have Manny to thank for the inspiration to challenge myself. And Practice of course 😁

When I first met Manny I told him I had been playing guitar for a long time, but was never very serious about it. And he said to me if you feel like you’re pretty good I can make you great. I didn’t think much of that at the time, but I thought why not give it a try. So I signed up for lessons and thought to myself it would be nice to improve a little bit. Within a couple of lessons I was playing better and having more fun then I have in thirty years. I don’t know that Manny has made me great (yet 😂), but he has definitely made me way better than I was and he has made this fun and worth every penny. I went from one lesson every two weeks to one lesson every week. The better I play the more fun it is and the more fun it is the more I want to play.

I strongly suggest giving Manny’s program a try. Best thing I’ve done for myself in a very long time. He’s patient, brilliant and fun to hang out with.

He knows his music, and is able to present it in an understandable manner. He also believes that one must practice.

Manny has been an excellent guitar teacher for me. I chose to learn how to play the guitar at a later time in my life and he has been instrumental in helping me progress at a much faster rate than I thought possible. He is very patient and provides positive support when needed. At the same time he challenges you to work through the difficult aspects of playing a guitar, and allows you to work at a pace that you find comfortable. His education at Berklee College of Music provided him with the background and resources necessary to create lessons that respond to your needs and interests. Manny's easy going personality and sense of humor also make his lessons fun and interesting. I can recommend him without hesitation.

Manny is a musical problem solver with a positive attitude. He has high expectations and is willing to put in the time to help the student progress toward his or her goals and potential. Manny has a wide interest in music which makes it easy to teach pieces that interest both the student and instructor. He is well connected with local musicians and is a regular performer. Having the opportunity to attend his performances helps the student see the practical results of theory and technique taught in class lessons. Manny is a wonderful vocalist who often sings accompaniment along with playing guitar accompaniment in class. What a great way to practice performing with an ensemble or band even as a beginning guitarist. Plus his accompaniment makes class even more motivational and fun. Finally, Manny has worked hard to develop a robust open mic program locally which gives his students the opportunity to perform in a positive, friendly environment. Thank you!

I have always dreamed of plying the guitar. I never thought I would make it happen until I met Manny. I knew he was the right person to teach me. I’m the kind of student that gets really grumpy if I can’t figure out how to do something. Moody and pouty. With Manny, I knew he was a kind person that I was ok to learn however I needed to. He is honest about the fact that I will only progress as much as I put in my practice. He cheers me on when I am doing well and he also is kind when I have been slacking on my practice. When I show up I know I’m there to learn from someone who truly cares about my progress. I think he envisions the guitarist in everyone who truly desires to learn. He’s not only an excellent guitarist and teacher, but he’s excellent with people and relating to their individuality. I’ve decided to start my 11 year old during the fall. I think she would benefit from learning the guitar and I think he’s the right person to teach her. I also love the fact that he’s also a student himself. Always wanting to learn is a trait that I value in a person, especially in an educator. He is the epitome of a professional. If you truly want to learn the guitar, learn something about yourself, build your self esteem, and have fun doing it... then take lessons from Manny. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

Manny keeps me feeling challenged but also gives me enough fun stuff to work on that I dont get burned out. He has a good sense for what that balance is. He is consistently positive and encouraging! Would highly recommend to anyone, of any skill level looking for a quality guitar teacher!
