About Kelsey
Traveling Music Lessons will help you find the right teacher for your family with lessons that occur in the comfort of your home! Our talented teachers travel to you, and teach the lesson in your home. They all have music degrees, or equivalent work experience, and they have all passed a background check.
If you let us know what schedule works best for you, we can match you with a teacher and connect you for a lesson!
I have first hand experience seeing how great it is to have lessons get done in your home instead of having to travel to a studio. People live busy lives and want the convenience of being able to do things from home. With that knowledge and with the love for music came the idea of having teachers give lessons inside the home!
Our teachers hold music degrees or equivalent work experience. They all pass an audition screen, and we make sure they are not only excellent players, but also educated in music theory and aural skills.

Initially, we are thrilled to hear you want to work with us and join our music school. Once we hear from you, we will ask for your contract information (email and/or phone) and your scheduling needs. From there, we will reach out to our teachers and see who is available to accommodate your request. After we have booked the lesson, your teacher will arrive at your home during the designated time, and you will explore your inner musician!
We work with all ages, all styles, all walks of life. Our oldest student is 90 years old, and our youngest is 3. Don't be shy! It is always a good time in your life to explore your inner creativity. Invest in yourself.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out

Perfect! Traveling Music Lessons is a wonderful service. Rafael the instructor always shows up on time. He is kind, patience and my daughter learns so much from him. I really appreciate his calm demeanor. I would definitely give him a try.
Perfect! If you are looking for a piano instructor for yourself or, as in my case for a child. Let me HIGHLY recommend Daniel Castro. My son is 13 and has 3 levels of the bastien method under his belt, taught to him by his father. My criteria for an instructor was that he have some jazz background along with classical, as well as pop and rock etc. In other words fully rounded. I wanted someone who could ignite give my son the fundamentals that would allow him to open his ears and heart and create. And most of all my son had to like him. Bullseye. Daniel is a multi instrumentalist who has a love for exploring music in all its forms. He too is a student always learning. In my case Daniel has used jazz and blues as the entry way. We are 3 lessons in and he has my son swinging. Which in jazz is the life blood. I listen from afar to each lesson and I can hear that Daniel is patiently and intuitively laying a foundation block by block that will provide a launch pad for my son to not only explore music as it is, but also unlock his own inner creativety through improvisation. As well as the fundamentals that will allow my son to move in whichever direction he wishes to take it should he decide to continue with music later on. I hear my son opening up on the piano now when he practices and its only lesson 3.Daniel does it in such a warm, unhurried, encouraging manner that it is almost a peer to peer relationship. Daniel is intellegient, professional, very personable and always a gentleman. And I appreciate that. Whatever discipline you or your child are pursuing, I have no doubt that Daniel Castro can instinctually provide you a personal, customized lesson plan to move you towards your destination. My highest regard.

We have had a great experience with TML - they have been responsive, engaged and helpful as we identified a music teacher who could come to our home to teach our 10 and 12 year old. Their first lessons with Michelle was excellent. Her enthusiasm was infectious and she was able to offer clear age-appropriate instruction. We look forward to continuing the lessons.
I like how convenient it is to not have to drive anywhere for a lesson and how nice my teacher Michelle is, always nice and makes things easy to understand and learn :)

Volha the teacher is simply amazing! She’s very knowledgeable, is teaching our daughter the theory behind piano, not just rushing into songs.
