About Archie
If anyone in Walnut Creek is seeking out guitar lessons for a beginner, intermediate, or advanced level of skill, I am offering 45 minute individual lessons at $35 a lesson. I do not have a studio, but I am willing to teach any time between 9am and 7pm Wednesday through Sunday and to drive to a location convenient for you.
I have been playing the guitar for seven years and have taken lessons on and off with a number of different teachers for 5 of those years. Since I first picked up the guitar I have consistently practiced and played anywhere from 2 to 12 hours a day, nearly every day. Along with a holistic understanding of technical skill and music theory, I have also gained an understanding of what it means to teach guitar by teaching and assisting other guitar teachers at summer camps, as well as teaching guitar to friends on my own time. My knowledge of the guitar is mainly influenced by musicians such as: Angus Young, Steve Vai, Jimmi Hendrix and Joe Satriani; although, I have done work in other styles. Students of all ages, feel free to contact me!
