About Adam
Are you looking for guitar lessons for your child that actually work? I'm Adam Robert, guitarist, vocalist and instructor and I've been instructing, training and mentoring people of all ages and all walks of life for nearly 20 years. I've also been a live performer, in cover bands, wedding bands and original bands for over 25 years.
I tailor the lessons around what gets the student excited. Your child might want to learn to play some of the greatest rock songs of all time, or perhaps some good old country twang. Or, maybe he or she is really interested in music theory, and how all of it ties together as both a science and an art. Or perhaps what really gets your child excited is dreaming about being on stage and performing in front of a large crowd. I've been doing that since 1995, and I can tell you with great confidence that there are few things more thrilling than being on stage in front of hundreds of people cheering you on!

I studied music throughout high school, and was in choir starting at a very young age. I studied music theory at the CASA in Oak Park, and I have over 25 years of performing experience.

My son has been playing the guitar for a few years on his own & really wanted to learn the fundamentals, how to read music & how to play with other people. Adam has been excellent at teaching him the groundwork while incorporating my son's musical interests & creative aspects to the lessons. He is a great teacher for any skill level.
I've had a couple of lessons, and enjoyed them. Already know a whole lot more than I did before I started.
The instructor took his time to make sure I understood the workings of the guitar and even how to tune it. Then it was cool to be able to strum some notes.
I have been taking lessons with Six String School & am very happy with the qualifications, experience & professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone looking for lessons, no matter their experience level.
