About Geneva
As a college student, I certainly remember how stressful high school can be. If you need a little extra help in the sciences or liberal arts, I'm here for you! I am a Dean's List scholar, national debate competitor, state PJAS competitor, and biochemistry researcher at the Pennsylvania State University. I scored in the 98th percentile on my SAT with a 5 on the AP Biology exam.
My strongest qualifications are in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, micobiology, writing, and literary analysis. I have also taken multiple courses in calculus, chemistry, and rhetoric.
I have some tutoring experience from National Honor Society in high school, where I instructed my younger peers in chemistry. At university, I tutored my classmates in microbiology and chemistry. My teaching style involves subtly guiding my students through the elements needed to solve the problem at hand so they hone their own unique thought process and interpreation.

I am incredibly passionate about sharing my skills with others. I have mentored young musicians, fellow students, debaters, and researchers. After working in research, I've developed quite the enthusiasm for acruing knowledge, and I would love to share it with those who need it!
I am a biochemistry/molecular biology major on the pre-med track at Penn State with research in antibiotic development. I had a 4.0 in high school with AP courses in Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, English Lit, European History, and US History. I was a member of Speech League and Mock Trial, so I have excellent public speaking skills.

I like to get to know my new students before I being tutoring, so I can get a grasp on how they like to learn best. For instance, if someone is very organized, I can supplement standard lessons by helping them make charts and diagrams, or, if someone is more focused on critical thinking, I can help them understand the broad concepts so they can reason their way through problems.
