About Samantha
I enjoy helping those understand difficult topics about history as it pertains to our understanding of society and culture.
History is one of my strengths because it has helped me analyze the world we live in and the events that shall never happen again.
I became interested in teaching once I was offered an internship to facilitate learning material about United States history to college students.
I have worked with college-level students studying United States history in person and online. I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from California State University Long Beach. I received an award from the Los Angeles Historical Society for my senior thesis titled "The Zoot Suit Riots: Challenging the Mexican-American Identity."

My typical process of working with a new student is personalizing a unique learning experience that caters to their needs.
I have worked with introverted and extroverted students who seemed to always possess the desire to learn more about our nation's history.
I was speechless when I found out that my history advisor recommended my senior thesis to the Los Angeles Historical Society. I always knew that I had a passion for writing and this blessing made me feel lucky that I chose this field.
