About Doga
My name is Derin and I am a senior in college studying in New York City. I am a human biology major, minoring in Spanish and political science. I speak English Turkish and Spanish and love working with kids and young adults. I taught English to middle schoolers in Spain in 2019 and tutor many people in my community in a variety of topics. History, biology, Spanish, English, government, psychology are all among the things I am passionate about.
I love making a difference and helping students. Everyone has potential to learn and do their best but have different means of pursuing it.
I am a passionate person and I enjoy many different topics. This trait has always made me popular with people who are in need. I am also hoping to go to grad school for psychology, therefore I love being able to help anyone in need.
I have taught in a middle school in Alicante Spain. I have tutored many people in my community, usually high schoolers.

The first session I like to get to know my students and introduce myself to them. We begin by making a checklist of topics and creating or adhering to due dates and upon that create a schedule that works best for the both of us.
I have worked with ESL students as I am also an immigrant, I have worked with Spanish speaking middle schoolers, many American Highschoolers and a few Turkish students.
