About Nicholas
I have taught 7th grade World History and 9th-10th grade World History and Civilization the last 2 years. I graduated with a double major in Secondary Education and History with a focus on economics and government. Working with students to help show them where they fit within a large picture that spans thousands of years is what I love being able to do.
In high school, I had a teacher that made coming to school and class exciting. He was able to bring history alive and not just hammer dates and names into our heads. He showed the connections between major events in history that helped shaped who we are today.
I have a bachelors degree in secondary education and history with a specialization in economics and government. I have taught 7th, 9th, and 10th graders for 2 years.

Getting to know the students strengths and weaknesses when it comes to specific topic/era. Figuring out which topic/era a student enjoys learning about or considers themselves an expert in and working form there to show connections to the challenged area.
I have worked with honors students, general education students, high functioning special ed. students, as well as low functioning special ed. students.
Look for someone that either specializes in that area or has a history of teaching that subject. Many teachers teach a subject because that is what they were given, finding the right teacher is very important.
