About Ashley
● Substantial knowledge of history including significant historical events
● Excellent ability to engage students with creative lessons
● Strong familiarity with high school and college learning methods
● Adept at identifying and overcoming learning challenges
● Ability to establish effective communications with students and parents
● Great interactive skills
I enjoy teaching history since I don't believe the schools are teaching it enough. The school leaves little to discussion and the students don't actually learn and they memorize instead. History should be enjoyable and you should be able to connect to history so you can grow as a person.
I have taught elementary and middle school homeschoolers for a few years now and have over 100 hours of college credits including 40 upper course credits. I am currently finishing an Anthropology and History degrees.

When working with a new student we will discuss what they already know and build from there. Tutored students can be struggling with the topic and it is good to lay a confident foundation before tutoring begins to help them be successful in their education. Once we know where we are and devise our course of action we can begin the learning process.
I have worked in person and online helping students reach their full potential as well as helped in peer research reports.
Make sure you are able to understand what is being taught, each lesson will build on for the next and do not be afraid to ask for help or more information.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I am always open to any needs and questions my students have. Without them asking me or telling me where they wish for more information how do we as teachers grow? if we are moving too quickly I would rather my student inform me so I can better help them succeed.
