About Sarina
I am very passionate about teaching and learning. I love everything that deals with social studies. I enjoy seeing students learn and understand the subject. My goal is to have the students that I tutor not only understand but be able to relate the information to their everyday life.
I have always been interested in teaching and I have been told by family and friends that I would make a good teacher. After several years of trying different jobs, I finally decided that maybe I should try the teaching field and since I had some previous experience I thought to substitute would be an easy way to get my foot in the door. Since I have started I love the experience and can't wait to earn my teaching certification.
I am currently working on earning my teacher certification with a specialization in social studies for middle school. I have 2+ years of teaching experience from teaching bible studies at my school, to working as a summer youth program assistant, and recently as a substitute teacher.

Typical I like to get to know my students a little bit to break the ice and awkwardness. After that, I like to see how much knowledge the student might have about the subject at hand.
I have work with students from as young as preschool age to as old as middle school age.
