About Lauren
I'm passionate about history - not only for my own benefit but to help others find as much joy in it as I do. I want to make history lessons interesting - because we are learning about us. It's the one class that you will really experience the impacts of - as we live within the impacts of our past everyday.
I have received a Bachelors in History, and currently, I'm pursuing a specific history based masters degree from an accredited university. I was president of the History Club in my undergraduate studies.
My full-time job is as a Historic Resources Specialist for a state agency. History is my passion, and my goal here is to help you learn, understand, and enjoy it all at once.
I have tutored throughout my schooling. I have always wanted to help others understand.

You always should understand where the student is within their learning. There should be a question and answer time regarding their understanding. They should be able to express all their worries and nerves. If they are unsure, we will work together to find the issue.
I have worked with students as young as fourth grade into college.
You should always choose a tutor that you can communicate with. The tutor should be able to understand you. For history, they need to understand the facts, not read off a page.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should always write down their thoughts, even if they don't make sense yet. They need to question what they are missing - are they having a hard time listening, are they having a hard time reading, are they having a hard time writing the essay, etc.?
