About Al
I was a World History teaching assistant while I was working on my MA in US History at the University of Hawai'i; I then taught World History for three years at a community college in Honolulu. I also have extensive writing and editing experience (history proved to be a great subject for honing these skills and I received numerous awards for writing from the History Dept. at UH. I'm also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I first published works were 5 articles for a encyclopedia on world slavery (3 on US slavery). I spent the majority of my career teaching English as a Second Language, so I can also tutor English.
