About Daniella
Welcome to my page! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in political science. I published several research papers on topics ranging from Real Property Rights to Civic Engagement.
For the past 3 years, I have been tutoring college students on American Government, American History, and Writing Courses. In high school, I was a distinguished AP Scholar, receiving scores of 5 on AP Literature and AP Language and Composition.
Throughout my career, I have studied the best pedagogical practices for improving the learning experiences of fellow students and tutees, and I found that the best practice is emphasizing respect and a passion for learning when moving towards academic goals. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Mutual respect is fundamental to working towards academic goals. First, I like to assess how the student learns: visual, auditory, or kinesthetics. Next, I help the student make a list of goals and deadlines so they understand every step of the learning process. Finally, I customize each lesson to the student's strengths and assess the weaknesses without dwelling on or reinforcing them.
I have worked with college and high school students, including those with special needs and athletes who require more demanding schedules.
Teaching styles change generationally. Statistically, students learn better from their peers. As a recent graduate, I understand the learning process from both a tutor's perspective and a student's perspective. When teaching composition or social sciences, there is no one-size-fits-all approach; a teacher must be willing to learn from the student as much as the student will learn from them.
