I worked as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University in the 1990's for seven years teaching "An Introduction to American Law" course for the Political Science Dept. I then adapted this course for use at a 6th grade level. Later I enrolled in a certificate program at Rider University to become a full time teacher.
I have a NJDOE Teaching Certificate in social studies for both High School and Middle School grades.
As a student teacher during the certification process I taught Modern World History.
I have worked as a substitute teacher in two public school districts for the last 4 years, Montgomery and Hopewell Valley school districts.
I worked as a trial attorney for 25 years.
I am the father of two sons who are now both attending Carnegie-Mellon University.

1) Discussing the student's academic goals that they wish to accomplish by the end of the tutoring process so that it is crystal clear on both sides;
2) Pre-assessment of the student's strengths and weaknesses in the designated subject area;
3) Colloborate with the student to map out a plan and schedule to achieve said goals;
4) Execute said plan with frequent interim assessments.
As a substitute teacher, I have worked with all kinds of students from all backgrounds, K-12.
As a tutor I have specialized in working with international students from Mainland China on reading and writing in English, and interview preparation for admission to private schools.
I took a trip with some former students to the United Nations.
