About Laura
Hello! I am a professionally certified teacher for History in Grades 5-12. I have also taught English as a Second Language. I have been teaching for over 15 years and my students have ranged in age from 12 to adult. I have worked in one-in-one situations as well as in classroom settings.
Teaching is my absolute passion. I chose my career right out of college and have never wanted to change paths. I have taught in Poland and China as well as in different states in the U.S. This has enabled me to meet and interact with many diverse cultures and learning styles.

The most important aspect of teaching is to find out the goals of the learner or their parent/guardian. I also feel it is necessary to learn about the student in regards to their strengths and weaknesses outside of academia because this helps me to understand their passions which leads to more individualized lessons.
