About Jessica
Why I became a Social Studies teacher... I always loved being in school and I was always interested in history and the people that helped to create our nation. I enjoyed learning about their personal stories. I always had great pride in my country and a great appreciation for living in the United States and wanted to learn all that I could about it. I feel it is a duty of mine to share that knowledge and passion with my students. I knew I wanted to be a teacher because I love kids and I love having fun. My goal was to find a way to mix my passion for social studies, my love of learning and kids, and my desire to have fun into a career! Teaching did this for me.
I have been a middle school Social Studies teacher for 7 years!

My goal for my students is to feel safe, productive, happy and comfortable in order to learn. I always help to break complicated tasks down into much smaller ones and keep things simple. This helps students to grow in their self esteem and become more successful.
