About Sophia

At Vista Valley Farm we offer group and private lessons for beginners up to advanced competitions riders. We work to help each rider achieve both their short and long term goals. Focusing on Dressage, Jumping, Eventing and other English disciples.

We enjoy seeing each horse and riders improvement no matter how big or small. Seeing our riders reach their goals is what brings joy to the trainers of Vista Valley Farm.

Trainers at Vista Valley Farm have 15+ years teaching and training horses and riders. Our head training is an upper level member of USPC and is currently going through the ICP program to move up the levels as an instructor. We have a wide variety of students and clients from high jumpers and upper level dressage and event riders to children working with ponies.

With each new student we focus on insuring safety and making sure each student knows how to stay safe and follow rules in the barn. While students groom and tack their horse we focus on teaching Horse management knowledge to each student as well. Depending on riders experience we may start on the lunge line or lead line. If riders are experienced they can ride on their own and learn the correct aids to ask for different movements of the horse.
