Hello there! My name is Grace and I have been teaching in this subject area for 10 years. I have grown up with horses and have a real passion for what I teach. I have a range of industry skills and understanding in this topic area.
I try to copy my teaching method from my own trainer's method. I learned so much from her, so my goal is to try to do the same for fellow riders. I like to take things slowly, one step at a time, because nothing comes out of rushing things. Horse AND rider need time to understand things.
I have successfully taught Horse Riding for two years in America, through Camp America, giving lessons to children aged between 4y/o and 15y/o. These lessons have been taught to those who have never ridden before as well as those who have ridden for many years, looking to further their skills.
I have 15 years of experience with horses and am available to support youngsters developing their confidence, both handling and riding horses and ponies. Also available to 'horse-sit' whilst people are on their holidays. I am 17 years old and a student. I am responsible, kind, patient and reliable. I am seeking holiday and/or weekend work. I can also support with show prep and show days.
Equine: can provide lessons up to intermediate/advanced level Academic: Up to GCSE level in any science, maths, English, Spanish, dance or music. A professional and friendly teacher I have experience with all ages and with physically and mentally disabled students. My methods are straightforward and lesson plans will focus on whatever you find most difficult. References available.
My teaching method involves patience, time and listening to my students. Riding can be challenging and it is important to stay motivated and determined and I pride myself in making the time to ensure a task is completed correctly and the rider is happy with how to do it again.
Depending on capability I will watch you interact and ride your horse.
I get to know you, how you work best, get know what you want to achieve and help you get there within a supportive learning environment.

I prefer one to one learning either in person (if ridden work involved) or via Skype/video clips. Group lessons by arrangement.
Teach them from what they know to further their infomation.
I tailor my classes to the individual whilst finding a fun easy way to learn and create a partnership
We will work through the basics, the student must have their own horse/pony or loan horse. Depending on experience, we will work through walk, trot and canter. Basic Turning, stopping. Upward and downward transitions. Pole work - trotting on the correct diagonal. Jumping for more advanced students. Stride work. And much more.
My teaching method is through QandAs, I like to allow people to ask plenty of questions so that they remember the topic. Also, I like to use photos, and watch videos.
I know horseback riding is about patiency and respect, as much as gentleness and understanding. All this I will try to teach you and also your horse.
I give lessons to all ages and abilities, and have an approachable sympathetic teaching style. Taking time to fully understand my clients needs and wishes, helping to build a strong relationship between horse and rider. By perfecting the basics, the more complex becomes easier and more achievable.
I question - why do you need a tutor? what do you need from me you lack yourself? I motivate - this is how were going to achieve your goal. I plan and push - and now were going to achieve it.
I approach all individuals differently based on their learning style, but I do try to keep things as interesting as possible using tools and props to encourage the leaners. I understand everybody learns differently and therefore I cater my teaching style individually.
I approach each topic by appraisal and step-by-step peeling back layers of an issue to reach a core "why?" of each discussion. I promote critical thinking and adjusting one's worldview based on facts rather than previous unproven knowledge, especially as the equine industry is full of misguided information.

I try to provide supportive and well-informed advice. There is a lot to know when starting out and it can be really confusing - everyone has an opinion when it comes to horses! I try to find out what you need and how you learn, and tailor a service to that.
Currently undertaking my Coaching qualifications through Equestrian Australia, I am passionate about horse welfare and happiness and my focus is on creating lasting partnerships between horse and rider. My teaching methods are purely based on three main factors. Trust, Comfortability, and Education. To do anything with horses you must have trust. This is an animal more that twice your size and has the ability to do incredible but awful things if it is let. You must trust each other.
I adapt to each student, taking into account his level and his objectives. I put a point of honor to put riders and horses in confidence on the bars. I own an excellent mare teacher. It is therefore possible to take classes with me even for riders who do not have their own horse.
My teaching methods come from multiple different trainers and depends on the level of horse and rider. Both as a pair and individually.
My family was part of the organization that became the Quarter Horse Association. I have trained and coached Quarter Horse western and hunt seat, as well as Buckskin and Quarter Horses to national titles. Following a natural horsemanship ethic has always worked best for the riders and horses I have trained. No stress, no pressure personal goal oriented training.
- Dressage: help students to better understand the horse and teach the basics to train it properly. - Training of young horses: in the case of untamed horses, taming them in the appropriate manner, and if already tamed, make them progress in more advanced dressage exercises or jumping.
