About
Hello! I'm Ernest Yungsi, and for more than twenty years I've helped students develop the skills and confidence to communicate, learn, and succeed.
My teaching journey has taken me across countries, cultures, and age groups. I spent over a decade teaching English in China, working with students from elementary school through adulthood. I also trained Chinese English teachers, showing them how to make learning engaging and effective through games, activities, storytelling, and real-world communication. Later, I taught ESL at Interactive College of Technology in Gainesville, Georgia, helping students from around the world strengthen their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
What makes my lessons different?
I believe people learn best when they enjoy the process. My lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored to each student's goals. Whether you're learning English, improving public speaking, building confidence, preparing for interviews, strengthening communication skills, or seeking life coaching and personal growth, my focus is always on real-world results.
In addition to teaching, I am a published author. I've written several books, including The Truth About Lies, Attention Is Currency, and the novel Not the Money. My background in journalism, public speaking, and professional writing helps students become stronger communicators, writers, and speakers.
I also bring the discipline of an athlete to my coaching. I played semi-professional soccer in Dalian, China, and still enjoy playing soccer, running, jump rope training, and weightlifting. Whether you're interested in soccer coaching, fitness motivation, goal setting, teamwork, or mental toughness, I can help you develop the skills needed to improve.
Students often describe me as energetic, encouraging, humorous, patient, and motivating. I work hard to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.
