These skills translate seamlessly into creating structured and effective lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of young minds.
My experience as a Behavior Therapist at Partners in Excellence in Minnetonka, MN, equipped me with the ability to utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to monitor progress and develop individualized intervention plans. This background uniquely positions me to understand and cater to the diverse learning styles of children.
As a Marketing Coordinator Intern at The YMCA in Minneapolis, MN, I executed strategies to increase youth engagement and brand awareness. This marketing experience enables me to incorporate creative and engaging teaching methods to make learning enjoyable for kids.
Leadership Experience:
I served as The Y - Site Lead Assistant, mentoring and guiding a team of 12 students. This experience has enhanced my ability to foster cognitive and social-emotional skills in a supportive and collaborative environment, essential for effective tutoring.
Additionally, my role as a South High School Teaching Assistant allowed me to evaluate student exams, provide timely feedback, and contribute to developing lesson plans and managing classrooms, showcasing my proficiency in academic support and classroom management.
Volunteer Experience:
I volunteered in Community Engaged Service Learning at The Richard M Schulze Family - American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Minneapolis, MN. This experience not only developed my leadership capabilities but also exemplified my commitment to active citizenship and teamwork—values crucial for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
