About Catherine
Hello. I tutored math beginning in high school, even before I won a gold medals in Math and English from the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS). I got silver all state in English. More recently, in addition to Rating SAT essays, I Rated middle school Math exams.
At Trinity College, Hartford, I received an Illinois Scholarship (full tuition for academics). I earned an English/Literary Writing major (hons), with concentrations in Math and Philosophy. I won three university prizes.
At Columbia, I earned my MFA in Writing. I also began a career in software applications development and corporate training. My clients include most banks in Manhattan, Boeing/NASA/ULA, Sony, and Universal.
I started teaching online for UCLA Extension in 1996. I have also taught in person and/or online for New College of Florida, Antioch LA, West LA College, LA Southwest College, and ICT College.
