About Mikayla
While pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, I worked part time in a variety of educational settings. As the Director of Educational Programs for Stepping Stone Mentoring, I have developed curriculum and guided staff and volunteers to effectively tutor a variety of students with unique academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and extensive support needs. With our coaching, our clients have consistently demonstrated academic growth.
I enjoy the challenge of teaching academically, socio-economically, and culturally diverse students with varying levels of social-emotional, academic, and behavioral needs while helping them to thrive. As a collaborator, I have joined and participated in committees and organizational improvement projects to help build a better environment for staff, partners, students, and families.
