About Emily
I'm here to help you grow, understand, and learn all about the craft of writing! My style is laid back, so I won't stress you out, but passionate and motivated. My goal is to foster an appreciation for writing as well as meet your own goals.
I'm currently a graduate student in a Creative Writing MFA program. I have four years of tutoring experience at college in College Writing, Literary Studies, ASL, and more. I worked as the Student Coordinator of the Writing Center and managed about 10 tutors, redesigned the online tutoring system, and continued to tutor clients. I was also the English Department Teaching Assistant and both graded papers and supported students in College Writing.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and I'm on track to graduate with a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in summer 2023. All throughout college, I worked in the tutoring center, the Writing Center, and I was the TA for the English Department.

I'd like to get to know both you and your goals. We'll work on finding a system that is comfortable for you and I'll ask questions to find out where you're starting from and where you want to go.
I have worked with both high school and college students. Generally, I'm happy to help whenever possible, but my experience is strongest with writing exercises and projects in the high school junior year or higher.
