About Marymalia
I am Mrs. MaryMalia, a licensed educator and I am passionate about people and see the beauty in every individual (every child has different needs and expresses themselves differently). I am quick to learn about and adapt comfortably to the needs of individual children/young adults. This educator is OG+ Certified by the Institute of Multi-Sensory Education (Orton-Gillingham) as of September 2023 to better meet your student’s literacy needs. She has at least six years experience in leading large and small groups of various ages, personalities, attitudes, and social backgrounds of various grade level classrooms. She is passionate about working one-on-one with students that have what she prefers to call "challenges." She has a degree in Elementary Education, an Endorsement in Special Education, and a Minor in Art. She has a background in providing special education services, social/emotional and behavioral supports/therapy’s. She has provided families with school work assistance, customized tutoring sessions, creative and multi-sensory lesson plans and activities within/outside of the home.
