About Sofia
Hi! My name is Sofia, and I am a student at Boston College majoring in English and Communications. As a current college student with 3+ years of experience tutoring, I am offering reading & writing tutoring via Zoom/Google Meet for students K-12. I started tutoring in high school, and now, I'm looking to continue doing it throughout my college endeavors!
Some things to know about me:
- I was a volunteer English tutor for three Ukrainian students through a program called ENGin.
- I am a creative writer with published works in literary magazines & newspapers as well as awards recognizing my skill.
- I took AP Language & Composition and AP Literature in High School.
- I was top 5% in my high school class, earning the designation Distinguished Honor Graduate.
- I am an active listener and will understand your academic needs.
My goal is to get my students to improve all while fostering a diligent work ethic. I hope to create an encouraging and positive atmosphere with all students I work with as well as a safe learning space. If you plan to work with me, I will cater to your needs based on your curriculum and skillset with innovative lessons that will help you feel more prepared.
