About Temalaya
As a highly experienced academic tutor and paraprofessional with over 6 years of experience, K-12 material across subjects like Math and ELA is relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from Kindergarten up to high school seniors. I am dedicated to getting to know each student individually, assessing their academic needs, and helping them achieve their personal goals. My teaching approach includes providing differentiated instruction—offering quick, concise assistance for those needing specific answers, and employing slow, methodic teaching for those looking to grasp material on a deeper level. My commitment is supported by my academic success, including multiple Associate's degrees (Liberal Arts & Sciences, General Science, Human Development & Family Studies) from Santa Monica College, where I graduated with High Honors.
