About Terry
I mainly teach self defense that is heavy in the philippino arts that include empty hand, knife and stick. I also teach women's self defense. I will give you practical knowledge that will allow you or your loved ones to fill protected after the first session.
I got started in martial arts through the growth of MMA and wanting to be able to protect myself in my line of work. I then found my love in teaching others and giving people tools and knowledge so we can all feel safe
I have 3 black belts. They are a black belt in empty hand and two black belts in knife tactics. I have been training in martial arts for 15 years. I am also a fire arms instructor with the NRA.

I enjoy talking to my students and getting to know their concerns. Why my students are looking for self defense instruction. Then developing a plan around your concerns and ability.
I have worked with both men and women. I have also worked a lot with students going off to college for the first time and the need for them to learn how to protect themselves.
I would suggest talking to them and getting to know your instructor. Making sure you both share the idea of where you want the training to go and of course making sure it's a good fit
I am always proud of hearing students telling me what they learned from me they were able to defend the self's in a real world situation.

Coach Terry Jester is a truly great instructor of self defense. He taught me how to defend myself in real life threatening situations and worked with me one on one, adjusting training according to my needs. I felt like it was personalized training, giving me the skills to survive without weapons and how to use whatever is available as a weapon. He took the time to explain the most practical ways to save myself from an attacker and discussed how to avoid becoming a victim.
