About Affaan
Hello! I'm Affaan, a 4th year B.S Mathematics-Computer Science major at the University of California, San Diego, with a double major in Business Economics. My academic journey is not just confined to the classroom; I'm actively involved in cutting-edge research in econometrics with UCSD, focusing on market manipulation detection in microcap cryptocurrencies using sentiment analysis.
Post-Graduation I will be heading to UC Berkeley to pursue my M.S in Data Science.
My extensive training in mathematics is further enriched with practical applications in machine learning, where I've worked on a unique AI project with DCUBE.
This project targeted stress and management problems, creating solutions tailored for small businesses, students, and educators. My blend of academic rigor and hands-on experience enables me to convey complex mathematical concepts in an engaging and relatable manner.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my commitment to understanding the underlying principles that govern the subjects I teach. I'm not just a student of mathematics and machine learning; I'm a practitioner, continually applying my skills to real-world challenges.
My minors in Business and Computer Science provide me with a broad perspective, linking mathematical theory to tangible business applications.
I believe learning is a collaborative process, and working with me means embarking on an exciting journey of discovery. Whether it's guiding you through econometric techniques, explaining the fundamentals of linear regression, or diving into the intricacies of AI and machine learning, my approach is tailored to your unique learning needs.
With a strong academic foundation, research credentials, real-world project experience, and a genuine passion for teaching, I invite you to experience a learning journey that is both intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding. Let's explore the fascinating world of mathematics and machine learning together!
