My typical process for working with a new student is to see what their goals are and structure the tutoring around that. The tutoring can range from brunt memorization to very abstract problem solving, even solving problems that I myself would not know the solution to at that time! It is all dependent on what your goals are. If you are not looking to use material outside of passing a class we can focus on class material so that you get a good grade. If you are going to be using the material more frequently in whatever carrer you want to pursue, we will work more in depth on understanding and applying the material. For example, if we are working on math material and you are intersted in going into a STEM major in college or having a carrer in STEM we will work on understanding and solving math problems of varying degree and see how we can incorporate math to solve problems relevant to whatever field you would like to eventually be in.

Princing for tutoring is fluid and depends on a multitude of factors: the level of math being taught, how in-depth we need to get into the class material, the frequency of tutoring sessions, the duration of those sessions, and the travel required to get to the location of tutoring. Rates will typically range from $25 to $35 dollars an hour.
