About Jimmy
Hello! My name is Jimmy and I have a strong passion for learning, and I am here to help expand fellow student's' knowledge and abilities.
I have been recently attending the University of California, Riverside. I graduated March 2020, and received a bachelor's of science in Business Admission with a concentration in Finance.
I excel in a wade range of subjects in math, business, and history. During my time in college I commonly tutored other students, and I am always flexible to differing learning styles so I can best help students excel.
I have always been one of the top students in my class, and I would always have people asking for help. As I helped my brother and my classmates I found that helping others become more engaged in their academic pursuits brought fulfillment to my life. This brought me to actively work as a private tutor for people of all ages, hoping I can make lives better the education.
I recently graduated college in March 2020, a year and a quarter early. I attended the University of California, Riverside, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration concentrating in Finance.
Growing up I always excelled in school and was my little brothers long time tutor. As I got older I branched into tutoring my fellow peers, working with fellow UCR students to excel in the math, business, and history courses!

I first like to get to know the individual student, learning about who they are as a person, what they like/dislike, their hobbies, and their goals. I feel this is vital as it allows me to customize the learning process for each student, and bring their interests into the coursework to bring fun to learning.
Additionally, I like to talk to students about more then the coursework, showing them how amazing and impactful the subject is on daily life. This makes even the most disliked subject interesting, and students to develop greater comprehension of the material covered.
I have worked with students across many levels of their educational journey, including college, high school, middle school, and elementary. I can work with students at any level, adjusting to their specific needs to best help them grow as a student
My best advice for any student is to never lose their love for learning new things. Therefore, when looking for a tutor or teacher to supplement the current education it is importing to find someone who will motivate them to want to learn. If the student is not truly motivated by their teacher, they won't be engaged, and they won't learn. I look to bring fun into learning, and get my student to want to learn and look forward to their tutoring sessions!
