About Eric
Hello!
My name is Eric, and I am a junior college student pursuing Physics and Mechanical Engineering degrees. I have been tutoring independently since last August and have recently taken a position as a Learning Assistant for the Physics I lab portion at my school. I am also enrolled in a Pedagogy course where I am learning about teaching methods and how they can be applied to STEM courses.
When working with students, I aim to learn alongside them. By this I mean that I believe that learning is a journey, where I join students by helping guide them to understanding. Rather than give answers outright, I help students come to their own conclusions. This, I find, is immensely rewarding to students as they get to experience moments of “Eureka!”, where, by their own cleverness, they have uncovered understanding.
