About Samuel
I've had a wide range of experience working with children and adolescents including teacher's assistant, volunteer tutor, camp couselour, lifeguard and referee. My work has been with children of all ages. This includes teacher's assistant for kindergadrens through third graders and volunteer tutor for grades ranging from fourth to seventh. Furthermore, this expereince has allowed me to develop patience, while still able to connect and empathize with adolescent children. I have taken up to College Algebra 1, and recieved AB Honor Roll every semester in high-schhol. My schdule is pretty flexible, and I can travel too you.
Since I'm a current college student, I understand the annoyance of struggling with equations and concepts and conversely the joy in figuring out difficullt topics. Although some students may find math unbearable, I believe anyone can find the proper methods to becoming astute and proficient in math, even if it takes time to find them. It brings me the same joy in helping someone comprehend a concept as it does solving it myself. I believe math creates too much stress and anxiety for students. I want to try and help students find more efficent methods to solving problems.
