About Tanner
I am a current college student at the University of Arkansas. I have tutored my younger siblings in their middle school and high school studies. Now that I have moved away from home, I can help tutor in Math and Science from middle school and up. I have experience with tutoring in Chemistry I and II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I and II.
I started tutoring because my Calculus teacher in high school asked me to help some of the students in my class who were falling behind. Then I started helping her Pre-Calculus students and some of the freshmen chemistry students.
I am a current sophomore, studying biology, at the University of Arkansas and I transferred here from the Neuroscience program at St. Louis University.

I like to take the first session just to go over learning styles and talk about what motivates the student. Then I look at the material they need help with so I can make a lesson plan for the next sessions. (This can be done before the first through email or text as well). I bake a lot, so I tend to bring baked treats (as long as dietary restrictions allow).
Mostly High school students and I've helped my sisters with their middle school studies.
Make sure the teacher is flexible and patient. It takes flexibility to figure out how someone learns and it takes time to tackle a subject from different angles until something clicks.
