About Paige
I'm a college student who has four years of volunteer tutoring experience in high school. I previously tutored in Math and Latin, but I am flexible in the subjects I can tutor in. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and valedictorian of my class. I believe teaching is the best way to learn, and I enjoy seeing someone improve in a subject they struggled with. I'm very much a people person and like to work with others. I have experience working with kids as I worked as a counselor at Vacation Bible Schools and Choir Camps.
I was chosen by the Dean to tutor for four years in high school in Latin and Math.

First is making the student feel comfortable by making an effort to get to know them and their interests. I always ask how they're doing as I think checking in on mental wellbeing is very important for academics. I then approach the material by asking them to do a problem, example, or worksheet on their own. I watch them do this just to gauge where they're at and if they get stuck along the way I'll jump into help. Once I know where they stand with the material I can pick out certain things I noticed they struggled with and review it with them in more detail.
