About Thomas
Hello students. I am Mr. Ennison, a 5th grade teacher with Wilsona School District. I have been teaching and tutoring (grades 1-6) for approximately 25 years in various school districts in Southern California. My students typically perform extremely well on the state exams and experience tremendous academic growth and improvement in their grades, especially in Math and Language Arts. Please contact me if interested in improving your Math and Language skills.
There are are quite a few reasons why I enjoy teaching and tutoring. The first and foremost would be the satisfaction derived from seeing students improve and the accompanying sense of accomplishment that comes with it. Secondly, it allows me to share my passion for math, reading, writing and learning. It is also a setting for constant interaction of ideas where I also get to learn from my students, among other reasons.
I hold a bachelors degree and a State of California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have also taught in Los Angeles Unified School District , Fontana Unified and currently Wisona School District. I have and still tutor several students after school as well.

I usually request the student's recent report card or progress report. I then interview the student/ parent to get background information and then administer an assessment of the student in the subject to be tutored. Having established their strengths and weakness, I now tailor a tutoring program to fit the student'd needs.
