About Diamond
Learning can come in all shapes in sizes, over the years I have excelled at breaking down information and creating new and fun ways to memorize and learn haptics. Math, Writing and Science can be tricky, but as our tutor we can work on trying new methods and seeing things a little differently.
I enjoy seeing students and learners have a "lightbulb" moment. This is when a learner finally gets how to do something or the moment where they finally connect with material. Each time that it happens I always get so excited that students find their moment to master something they thought they never could.
I started teaching a while ago. I first gained interest in high school when I was a Junior tutoring math and science to middle and high schoolers. Then I moved on to be a professional academic tutor at a college tutoring in over 30 subjects and classes. Now I teach/tutor at all levels K-12 and have expanded my scope in individualized tutoring.
I specialized in Math Work and Sciences at Germanna Community College for about 1.5 years. I private tutor students of all math groups and age levels. I currently am a substitute teacher where I help in subjects that I specialize in and excel at.
I carry 2 degrees one in Biology and the other in Business Administration obtained from Germanna College.

My process for starting with a new student is seeing what level they are at by gauging tests, homework past math problems. I like to review material or have the learner explain the assignment be we tackle it! Sometimes to make sure there is mastery with a skill I like to create my own example problem with different numbers or wording. But really starting from the beginning and then working our way back to the assignment can be a great start.
I work will students of all ages! Many of my students come from grades K-12 with seldom additions of college students. But it is great to see a wide range of students that are willing to learn and improve on themselves.
