About Yvonne
I love to teach. I love making an impact and that's why I teach. I employ a hands on, practical, and interactive teaching method that creates an experience, that encourages the students to be expressive of themselves, ask questions, and set challenges. In my four years of experience, I have had a great relationship with the students between the ages of 4-18 who end up looking up to me as a role model. My demeanor makes me more relatable to the students I teach, which in turn makes it more comfortable for them to learn and identify their learning method.
I tutor elementary and middle school kids in Math, English, and STEM subjects after school and during the holidays. I tutor high school students in Math and English with the concentration of essay writing, research coordination, and grammar. I have worked with five different families as a private tutor. Additionally, I have served as an alumni volunteer of EducationUSA, reviewing college essays and supplements. I am an active member of the Pioneer Academics Alumni Student Advisory Board.
