About Jahlea
We allow students to become in depth in the area that they feel more comfrotable in. I work with students that struggle and help them become more open of their problems while becoming more engaged to fix it themselves. It is my passion to help student feel more comfortable using the English language through speaking,writing, and poerty (S.W.A.P).
I have dedicated a many hours to helping students feel comfortable learning the English language. I spent 6 years tutoring students in English and earn a TEFL license (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
I enjoy getting students to a place where they are comfortable enough to ask questions when they don't understand or to be be brave enough to ask me to repeat myself. I enjoy the moment when students tell me they get it and they understand, even the "wow, that was easy" moments.
It was always a passion of mines since high school. My teachers helped me find community service opportunies like tutor English to students.
I have experience tutor for 6 years, I'm also a Junior in college. I major in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I also have a TEFL License (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

The first session is getting students comfortable, I learned basic infromation about thinngs they like to do. So if a student loves baseball, I would have a reading on it. I learn about what they struggle in and what they excel at. With this information i create a module personally made for for them.
I have worked with children as young as 10 to as old as 17 year olds. All from different backgrounds with different levels of knowledge towards English.
That each teacher has a very strong focus in one or more areas, and it is important that the student know which areas. It saves time if a student wants to just me tutor in one certain area.
Recently one of my student that I was tutoring for the SAT test passed with a score of 1300 and i could not be any prouder of her. She is currently apply for colleges.
