About Kristen
Exceptional Math Tutor with 6 years experience in mathematical instruction. Knowledgeable in K-12, Algebra, and Geometry.
I went into teaching because I loved math. I like sharing my knowledge about math and cool bits and pieces about the specific topics we were working on.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications. And a total of 10 years in the classroom and 10 years of tutoring both Math and English, including ACT/SAT prep.

The first thing I like to do is break the ice because building solid relationships with my students is important. Then I like to give an assessment to determine where their strengths and weaknesses lie, so that we can focus on those areas that need improvement. Then I enter all this information into a spreadsheet, so that I can monitor growth and progress.
