I like to make students solve a lot so that they become familiar with the type of questions and to make sure that they will solve similar questions in a short time when taking the tests
I also explain the underlying fundementals and mathematical conecpts behind the problem, to make sure that the students are actually understanding what they're doing
If I notice that a student lacks the basic skills necessary to score a high grade on the test, I change the lessons from a practice-based lesson to a lesson where we explain all the fundementals from the very beginning.
I also try to be friends with my students so that they won't get bored during the lesson and to make sure they won't be afraid to tell me if they lost track of what I'm saying.
